So this morning I was going to work and I was waiting for the red light to go green.
That's when I realised the SUV in front of me was far, far, very far from home  Smile:

That car has Maryland tags at the red light, very far.

Just the other day on High Street Kensington spotted a car with California plates.

I had my South African registered Fiat in Adelaide for a year...it was funny to see people looking at the plates and trying to figure out where it came from.

I've seen a BMW X5 with California plates around here..and a German-registered VW Passat.

You can see a lot of British registered cars in the Paderborn area, but no wonder, many UK soldiers are based there.

One of my neighbors is driving a Merc S-Class with Dutch plates but I have no idea why, I am sure that he is German judging from his accent (or a Dutch guy who is speaking better German than me).

During the war in Bosnia some Canadian peace-keeping soldiers saw an Ontario registered car. They ran a check on it with the Ministry of Transport and (you might already have guessed) -it was reported stolen in Toronto

Well I saw something strange at a red light this morning here in LA...drivers actually stopped!!

I had a friend in college in CT who came from Dusseldorf, Deutschland, with his BMW 320. For 2 years he collected parking tickets that went unpaid, and the local authorities were never able to track him down.

There is a Jeep Liberty running around my neck of the woods with plates from Japan.

A few years ago, a group of some thirty RVs rolled through town representing Switzerland, Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands. Now that was sure strange.

A bunch of family members and I went to South Dakota a few years back. We took tally of all the state license plates we saw. We got 48 of the 50. The only two we didn't get were Vermont and Alaska.

I saw a similar motor coach last week in Newburgh, NY. Had matching German plates on the front and back and an Alaska one on the front.

Also, I saw 2 Harleys in Louisana with Swiss plates.

You see quite a few motorhomes with European plates around here during the summer months. I've also seen quite a few North American plates in Germany including a couple of BC plates when I lived there. I've also seen a few trucks on the Autobahn with Middle-Eastern and African plates, most interesting one was probably from Iran driving on the A12 in Utrecht.

I see US/Canada registered cars in Poland all the time, usually from NJ, NY, IL and Ontario. Vice Versa ive seen an Opel Astra with French plates 100 miles outside of Denver on the interstate, Ive seen an XC90 in Daytona Beach with German plates also. Here in Chicago ive seen maybe 50-60 cars with Polish plates + seen quite a few California and Texas plates in Puerto Vallarta

I saw this German registered VW bus on the parking lot of Kennedy Space Center in Florida in 2004 (the yellow one).

You see my own bus (the white one) next to it, it is New York registered but I have a German plate with the same number as well.
