A guy sitting at an airport bar in Atlanta noticed a beautiful woman sitting next to him.
He thought to himself, "Wow,she's so gorgeous she must be a flight attendant. But which airline does she work for?"

Hoping to gain her attention, he leaned towards her and uttered the Delta Slogan, "Love to fly and it shows?"

She gave him a blank, confused stare and he immediately thought to himself,

"Nope, not Delta."
He leaned towards her again, "Something special in the air?"

She gave him the same confused look. He mentally kicked himself, and scratched American Airlines off the list.

Next he tried the United slogan, "I would really love to fly your friendly skies?"

This time the woman savagely turned on him, "What the f .. k do you want?"

The man smiled, then slumped back in his chair, and said....
"Ah hah, Air Canada eh?.!"

That was great.

Air Canada's slogan is a great way to push someone off. Pal, you now have "The Freedom to fly Your Own Way".
If she were from JAL...Pal, you can keep "Dreaming Skyward".

Blindly following anything is bad, unless of course your blind and your following a guide dog.

I wouldn't say they are bad, but they certainly don't leave you with that warm/fuzzy feeling either. They are professional, they do their job, but they don't go out of their way for you (in my experience). That doesn't mean they are all that way, but it seems that lately the majority make you feel like you're an inconvenience. I realize they are busy and have a lot on their mind, but a friendly smile would go a long way without taking up any time.

Very much so, I have lately really started to understand why AC stands for 'Always Crabby'. In comparison with the other choices out there the term 'Customer Service' just doesn't seem to be part their vocabulary.

No.
I've always found the courteous and professional.
Whenever I needed assistance from them, they've helped me without a fuss.
I've never felt like an inconvenience when dealing with AC staff.

AC is not bad. They will get better as they slowly phase out the older battle-axe FAs who only got jobs because they were bilingual. That and the arrival of new metal.

I think Iberia would suit the joke much better.

At the bus station, buses stop. At the train station, trains stop. At my desk, I have a work station.

Eh... the first version I heard had the flight attendant working for Taca (her reply was along the lines of "Bueno, qué @#~$%&!! querés?!")  Silly

Don't expect to see me around that much (if at all) -- the contact link should still work, though.

Hmmm... my mom is one of those old "battle-axe" and she did not get the job because she was bilingual... She speaks English only and could not bother with French, even though her mom is from Québec and both my grandmother and myself are bilingual. She got the job 35 years ago when it was easy to land a job as a f/a... now she works all the oriental flights, "serving" the passengers like they are military members at a mess....  Yeah sure, besides her however I have always had great service from AC... the one exception happens to be my mom... she treats me well of course but just seeing how she deals with others...

Not all older FAs are battle-axes, so don't be offended.  Smile Does you Mom concede that some older FAs got jobs just because they were bilingual?
