I was musing over on com av about something and I wrote that underage drinking was as American as apple pie to paraphrase H. Rap Brown.

I got to thinkin' whatever happened to the bruthah. He's been pretty quiet, mostly because he's doing life without.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._Rap_Brown

So......here's the question. Who's your choice for somebody who had a certain amount of notoriety some time ago and has now disappeared from view and doesn't even rate a flicker on the relevance meter?

We could expand this to take in one hit wonders and people like Bobby Fuller of the Bobby Fuller Four who died under mysterious conditions-some say he drank a gallon of Mobil High Test...

Don't say Vanilla Ice, because I got that bad boy staked out.

Your choices?

The message you were about to post is too short and probably not of any higher value to the topic at hand. You should think long and hard before posting a message in this forum and make it detailed and a valuable addition to the topic discussed.

Avoid posting "Me Too" messages. These are messages that are posted by people who agree to a point being discussed and post a one liner, "me too!", "Good post Jim!", "I disagree" or similar message. This takes up time as readers must sort through these messages which have no real value to the group at large. Any message containing nothing more than a line or two of text is probably not worth posting.

If you have an opinion on a topic, you should in detail express why you have the opinion and what made you come to that conclusion.

Your post should be relevant to the topic discussed.

He does the occasional stand-up and appearance in my girlfriend's celebrity mags.

To me the most fascinating ones come in two categories: 1-professional athletes who are hailed as the next great thing and fizzle out after a season or two. 2-college athletes who are really good at the NCAA level but fail at the pro level though with the second one it's known that the style that some kids play their game won't translate to pro success (Ron Dayne.)

Under the first category, I've wondered what happened to former NHL goaltender Jim Carey (no one really knows, he's refused to talk to anyone about hockey since he flunked out of the pros.) Under the second category, I'll go with Cherokee Parks, former Duke basketball player and 1st-round NFL picks Steve Entman and Quentin Coryatt.

I was in mind of Art Schlichter, one time QB of the Baltimore Dolts. He just got out of prison. Again.
