Hello people..
I am the bearer of bad news im afraid... I dont know if this topic will be deleted or not, but i was unsure about what to do..
My best friend . James ( an irish pilot - ) and a flight instructor ( former member of this board ) sadly passed away last night unexpectedly. His heart stopped beating at 10:25 GMT.He will leave 2 young children and a wife. and his piper warrior pa28-161 , which will be flown around europe in memory of him. I certainly am very upset and cannot come to terms with this tragic loss.
Please lets remember him here... : (

So sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and his family. He is probably flying amongst the clouds with his new wings. Glad that his plane will be flown in his memory. I'm sure he will be proud.
Quoting AndesSMF (Reply 9): Unfortunately, seems like his children will miss knowing what a great dad he was.
Indeed. Really really sad. I'm sure he can see them and will watch over them. I hope that they will find peace during this hard time.
All the best.
Dave

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, —and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of—wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air....
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark nor even eagle flew—
And, while with silent lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Condolences to you and to his family for their loss.
