Hi everybody
Well my problem is I will go to Miami this Fall I have no Idea what I'm going to to in those 3days.
I could go to the Keys, but for only 3 days it's a little too short, same for Orlando or Cape Canaveral.
In the evenings, there's no NBA or MLB Games, because around the 6. Oct. the season didn't started....
Any Idea what I could to in those days?
Thanks for every answer
Lucien

There is a free magizine calle "The Street" that will give you some good suggestions. You can pick it up at free news stands on the street.
A good bar is Tobacco Road, they usualy have a few live bands and used to have a 9.99 ribeye special at midnight. Close to there on Brickel Avenue is the Miami Grill if you want an expensive steak. You may want to find Joe's Stone Crab also.
Mr. Moes has decent food in Coconut Grove. It's a decent hangout at night.
You can rent a super bike, I don't remember the place. And it's Miami, you can rent a Ferrari also. South Beach is a great place to people watch.
If you rent a car and have a few drinks, watch out for Miami's Finest.

Quoting Itsnotfinals (Reply 3): South Beach is the greatest freak show/ hot people show on earth!
They are often both at the same time.
If you want to go to a beach in a more natural state than the mostly artificial (people and the beach itself) South Beach, head over to Crandon Park on Key Biscayne. It's essentially just as it was a hundred years ago and it's never as crowded as miami beach itself, so I love going there for a more relaxing experience, but there are fewer attractive people to look at. Joe's Stone Crab on South Beach is a great place to get dinner if you don't mind waiting, though I can't remember when the stone crab season begins and ends... I had some takeout from there last week and it was as good as ever. If you are going to be there on a thursday night, Coconut Grove is a fun place to wander from bar to bar and enjoy looking at the hot UM college girls.

Well its Miami. During the day most people hang around the beach, South Beach is always voted one of the top ten beaches in the world. You could visit Metro Zoo, the horse race track, Calder or Gulf stream depending what time of the year you are going to be in Miami. There is Miami Beach where you can just walk around and enjoy the city, many museums, Viscaya, Biscayne National Park or Everglades National Park.
But Miami really comes alive at night, Miami Beach is where most people hang out at night, lots of clubs and bars, great restaurants lots of people. Downtown Miami also has a club area near 14th street and restaurants near Brikkle Ave. Downtown Miami is more of a local place to be at night, not many tourist there. Your in Miami there is plenty to do. Take a tour of the city, just relax during the day and have fun at night I say. The beaches are great. There is a reason Miami gets 13 million visitors a year, because there is a lot of fun things to do. Don’t worry you will find plenty of things. Don’t go to Orlando, the keys are nice as long as you like the Beach, Fishing and Bars a lot.

Hi @ all
thanks for the great feedback
Quoting Luv2fly (Reply 2): Sorry to hear that I feel for you.
Haha sorry, my native language is French, but I hope you do understand what I've wanted to ask...
Quoting AirSpare (Reply 1): If you rent a car and have a few drinks, watch out for Miami's Finest.
Yeah we will rent a car... no lambo or Ferrari
Thanks for the restaurant tips, sounds delicious
Quoting Itsnotfinals (Reply 3): Find a sidewalk cafe or bar and enjoy the free show
Thanks will do that

Actually, the drive down to Key West is a nice trip, and Key West in the fall will be very nice.
The problem with Key west is, that it is pretty far away from Miami... what about the other keys, p.e. Key Largo?
Quoting FlyMIA (Reply 8): Don't go to Orlando, the keys are nice as long as you like the Beach, Fishing and Bars a lot.
yeah the nightlife must be great, but I'm only 18, so I won't get inside those clubs I guess...
The Everglades National Park must be pretty interesting, and it's not too far away, Homestead is like 1hour from Miami ?
Have you been in the National Park? What would you recommend to see inside the Park?

If you plan it correctly, you can make it to Key West in 3.5 hours.

Well if you are 18 than yea you wont be getting into an clubs. But the National Park is very nice, I been there a few times. I really dont know it to well though. I know there is one trial which is just a boarwalk but you get to see what the everglades looks like from above the sawgrass and you get to see lots of wildlife. Also you can always take a air boat tour too. The Everglads is one of the most unique eco-systems in the world and if you like nature or the out doors you should enjoy it. The Everglades is about 1 hour southwest of Miami.

No seriously, Miami is a great place. I was there exactly a year ago. For the most part, I enjoyed spending the day on the beach. Then around 4 pm I would head over to South Pointe Park and watch the cruise ships pull out. After that I would head to dinner. Just make sure you venture to an authentic Cuban restaurant while you are there. Not one of those yuppy nuevo-cuban places.

The other option: Jump on a plane and come to the Bahamas!
When I get three days in South Florida (FLL more often than MIA), I spend them in various shopping malls, buying all the things we can't get in the islands (or can't afford here).
I'm an aviation expert. I have Sky Juice for breakfast.
Dont go to Orlando, what ever you do dont go to Orlando.

Great advice. Watching the cruise ships leave is pretty cool those things are huge, on Saturdays and Sundays there can be as many as 6-7 huge Cruise ships in the port of Miami, some of the biggest ships in the world. The port of Miami is the cruise ship capital of the world.

Only if you like a little slice of disgustingly homogenized Americana and tacky theme parks/restaurants. Stay in Miami. By the way, if you would like to go to a truly great restaurant, try Barton G's on South Beach (it's on West Ave. at around 15th st., I think). I ate there for the first time last night and it was probably the best food/presentation I've had in Miami in a long time if not ever, though with that sort of quality and the token trendiness markup, it is pretty expensive .

Okey thanks for the Tipp! Wrote it down and will check it out.
Quoting Bongo (Reply 20): Two days at the Keys is enough and highly recommended!
Thanks, I'm looking forward to
