Restaurants Near Dublin Airport

Hi all

We're going to Dublin on Thursday for the day as it's our 5th anniversary on Friday.

We have a full day in Dublin as we arrive at 07:35 and leave at 21:45. I'd like to book us a nice restaurant for an evening meal, but we'd have to leave the city centre at 18:45 to get to the airport for check in at 19:45.

Are there any nice restaurants in the airport area so we could get to the airport for about 18:30, have dinner, then head to the airport for 20:00?

Any ideas folks? Nothing too expensive though!

I'm sure others might be able to suggest some other restuarants. One that I can think of is the rooftop restaurant at the Dublin Carlton Airport Hotel. I've stayed in the hotel a few times recently and have only eaten downstairs, but the rooftop restaurant is supposed to be good and also offers excellent views of the airport, Dublin and the coast:

Else I suggest the Coachman's Inn, a pub a few hunddred meters away from the airport, following the road to Swords.

The Airport Hilton has a nice restaurant also, im unsure of the prices but it wouldnt be too much. Its about a 5min drive from the Airport, Any taxi driver will know where you mean (Taking the quickest route is up to him tho haha  Wink )

You can always grab a stale sandwich from the gas station across from the FLS hangar. That's what the Delta Mechanics ate while recovering this MD-11.............
