Yesterday I took a trip to Yosemite National Park. I haven't been there in a decade but it's just as beautiful as ever, especially on weekday without much traffic, relatively speaking. Thought I'd share a few pictures.

Cool. I was last there in 1992, before the flooding that changed the park, in many ways for the better. It is a great and spectacular place to go to. I visited both times for a day each time, staying in the 'valley' area both times and at the end and beginning of each 12 hour day of travel.

Great pics! One of the most beautiful places on the planet. I was there in Aug. '05 and tried to hike/climb to the top of Half Dome - but we left too late, and its about a 8 hour hike each way. We ran out of light. Did you get out of the Valley and up into Tuolumne Meadows?
BTW, how were the crowds there? I've heard they started limiting the amount of autos/RV's into the park. I was recently up in Yellowstone N.P. - traffic was a nightmare.

I've never seen a pic of the Half Dome from that angle - looks cool.
I really want to go back there - the hike is awesome. Harder than the Grand Canyon IMO.

I'm not sure if they're limiting vehicles, maybe on the weekend. I was there on a weekday so it wasn't that bad. By late afternoon the visitor center crowd was light.

This was my fourth visit I believe and my first time to Glacier Point. I had the opportunity to drive across the park on Tioga Rd. The mountains and meadows in the high country is just as spectacular as in Yosemite Valley.

One of the most spectacular places in the USA; at least for me. I was there in May 06 and the weather and the waterfalls couldn't have been better. The trail to Vernal Falls is among the best but be careful; it does get wet and slippery.
too bad most of us get too soon old and too late smart

I was there in 1986 when I was stationed in Vallejo with the Navy. Me and a bunch of guys climbed El Capitan. Was great.

I have never been, but want to go so badly. I will make it there, it looks absolutely beautiful.
