Lucky you! Sounds like a good matchup. I'm assuming it's at Berkeley?
On September 1st, I'll be at Aloha Stadium watching Colt Brennan pass for 500 yards and 10 touchdowns (in the first half) vs. University Of Northern Colorado.

Sure is.
Tried to get Cal-USC tickets too, but I missed out on that.
Also going to UH-Fresno State on Nov. 10th.
Going to be insane.
Might try and make one more Fresno State game too. Not sure against who. Kansas State or Boise State probably.

Good to hear, it's always a good game in HNL. Many memorable ones here. Great ongoing rivalry too. I miss the good ole days of chanting "Sweeney is a Weenie".
We'll have to meet at Aloha Stadium, I'll buy you a beer!

The tickets I want to get this year: Colorado at ASU (Sept 8th), Washington at ASU (Oct 13th) and Nebraska at Colorado (Nov 23rd). The tickets don't go on sale for Arizona State until August 16th, so I gotta wait. My friend at CU is getting the tickets for the Nov 23rd game.

I think my fat ass could pass for those numbers against Northern Colorado.
That said he is a good QB but I'd be very surprised if he was able to put up the numbers he has so far down here in the SEC against our defenses.

Tennessee doesn't stand a chance in that game. Cal is going to return the favor from that asswhipping in Knoxville last year.
Going to be a fun time at the tailgates.

No way it happens again.
I'll admit, Kal got whipped last year, but not this season.
I'm not really a Kal fan either, though I do like them better than Stanfark or any of the SoCal schools.

Huh? What? In the pass-happy, shoot-first-play-defense-later SEC? You guys have the toughest conference (IMO - and that's hard to admit coming from Big 10 country), but the SEC isn't known for its defense
NCAA Rushing Defense - 2 in the top 20, NCAA Passing Defense - a bit better here - better show in the top 20 than any other major conference, and NCAA Scoring Defense - not bad, not good here - tied with the Big 10 and the (weak) Big East with 3 in the top 20, while the ACC had 6 up there. The SEC has a rep for a shootout among the good ol' boys, and not much beyond it.

I would be too! He puts up astronomical numbers because he's playing in the WAC, but I still think he is one of the best if not the best college QB in the country this year. Certainly the best Hawaii has ever had. It's a shame he's a senior this year as it would be real interesting to see what he could do at your place next year when Hawaii opens @Florida. Look for his numbers to continue off the chart this year with our cupcake schedule.

Ah the Big 10, where the conference motto is...Bigger, Slower, Whiter.
If you don't think the SEC is known for their defense perhaps I could point you to that little game played in the desert a few months back to show what we deal with week after week in our conference.
The SEC has some incredible defenses that I would put up against most teams in the nation.

You've just made yourself look really uneducated about college football. But then that's what I expect from the Big 10 contingent.

There is no such thing as good College Football. There is only one type of football worth watching and it is NFL football. I could care less about College ball it is a waste of time and drastically over-hyped. Who cares what you do in the college games. I could care less if you rush for 250 yds and score 5 TD's a game in college. When you get to the NFL lets see how good you really are when the compitition is all at the same level unlike in college. Ryan Leaf, Curtis Enis, Lawrence Phiilips, Rick Mirer where you at???

So tragic. NFL is so boring... There is no sense of pride in pro football. The rivalries don't compare. Say what you want, as a Cowboys fan I appreciate the Cowboys vs. the world rivalry (especially NFC East teams, like the 'Skins), but they're playing for their paycheck, not bragging rights. Some of the greatest rivalries in the world exist in college football (Michigan Ohio St., Texas-OU, Florida-Tennessee, Alabama-Auburn ETC...), none exist in the NFL. The NCAA College Football championship is infinitely more exciting than the Super Bowl. Maybe less hyped, but so much more exciting. Congratulations, you just named some players who were good in college, and sucked in the pros. Fortunately, unlike the NFL, college football is about the team, not about showoffs.
Enjoy watching the NFL, as I will too, after all, any football is better than no football at all, but the best, most exciting games and atmospheres are all on Saturday. Having experienced both, nothing touches a college game.

Used to be an NFL only guy until I got to college (I'll be a senior this year). Now, nothing compares - the intensity is a lot higher, the athletes a lot more down to earth (I know our starting fullback and safety personally, and I've met several other members of the team, including the QB), all of whom are some of the most down to Earth people you could ever meet. Plus, the rivalries are intense on all levels; fans, players, etc.
At least the NFL has a very good product that has me watch college on Saturdays and NFL on Sundays - the top teams in the NFL are real fun to watch. Much more than I can say about college basketball, which is the only basketball worth watching; the NBA is a desperate last resort for something to do, which is maybe once or twice a year.

I disagree. The NFL has the lack of competition. The players don't really care about anything in the NFL, only themselves, women, the 'gangsta' attitude and money. That's all there is to it: MONEY! Whereas, college football is really competitive to the bone. More strict standards, more drug testing, rigorous training, etc etc. Plus the spirit is actually there in college football! The cheerleaders are much better and totally HOT!!!
NCAA football beats NFL football anyday. More games to watch, more challenges....
Im not saying the NFL is bad at all. Its just that its boring, its the same 'ole crap: 32 teams and somebody gets arrested off the field... (this happens in college too, but not as much because of NCAA rules.)

I'm getting UCLA season tickets today. We have a pretty good home schedule this year (even though the $C game is at the Mausoleum.... er Coliseum).
We have at home:
BYU
Washington
Notre Dame
Kal
Arizona State
Oregon
We should have a pretty good team this year unless Dorrell screws things up. Regardless, nothing beats tailgating at the Rose Bowl!

I think we're planning on heading down for the OSU @ Cal game in October. That game will be great if OSU plays to their potential.
I'd love to be at that Tenn. game, though! That should be an amazing game. And, of course, I hope to see Cal destroy 'em.
If OSU didn't want a ridiculous ammount of a donation to the scholarship fund for decent season tix, we'd get some for football. But if you don't want to sit in an endzone, you have to come up with at least $500 to sit under a cover. And with our lovely weather up here in the NW during football season, you're pretty much assured a rainy Saturday or three during the regular season.
