Richard Speck And The Murder Of 8 Student Nurses

Last Saturday, July 14th, marked the 41st anniversary of the murder of 8 innocent student nurses by Richard Speck.
He tortured, raped and killed the 8 student nurses with his bare hands claiming he was high on alcohol and drugs.
I watched a program on this event and was paralized with terror. Does anyone have more information on this event or did anyone know the murdered nurses?


Obsessed is just a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.

I've seen several programs on this guy. What he did was horrific. Although not a fan of Wikipedia for university research purposes, the article on him is quite interesting...and it does list references.

Speck had spent time in East Dallas where I grew up. When this happened and his picture became available, I instantly knew I had crossed paths with him at some point. I can't remember more than that...just that I knew that face.

There was a nurse that survived. She hid under the bed. Richard Speck died in prison, he developed man-boobs and snorted huge amount of smuggled cocaine.
