Who is going to be watching the FIA GT 24H endurance race at Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday-Sunday?

I am going to be watching as much of it as possible, but because the people at Men & Motors TV aren't showing the whole 24 hours I can't watch it all - I think they are only showing about a 1/4 of the race in bit (start, middle and end).

Also a shame that there is only one Jet Alliance Racing DBR9 racing this weekend with the drivers from the #33 and #34 cars racing together in the #33 car (which is below), but still can't wait. Big grin

The finest cars (Aston Martin) at the finest race lap ever (Spa).

 bigthumbsup

I am not a big fan of motorsport but outside of the old Nürburgring in the mist, what is better than Francorchamps under heavy rain?  Smile

Maybe the RAC in the rain, but only if Colin McRae's competing...  Wink

After doing the first and second qualifying sessions, Karl Wendlinger set the fastest lap time (2:14:935) in the #33 Aston Martin to be on provisional pole, with the final pole sitter to be known in the third qualifying session today.

Ugg, I wish there was some way for us in the states to watch this race live... Anyone remember last year's classic between the DBR9 and the Maserati? It all came down to fast pitwork and mere seconds after 24 hours. What a great racetrack Spa is!

I think there was one year in the pre-FIA GT days when 1st/2nd came across the line almost together...

I'm really intrigued by the Coupe du Roi class. I don't really understand the reasoning of the relay where a team needs 3 cars, but I guess we'll find out.

Well, shortly into hour 23, van de Poele spun off in the rain while leading! That handed the lead to the Carsport Holland Corvette, which it did not relinquish. The rest of the top 10 and class-winners held their positions except for the Selleslagh Corvette sneaking into the top 10 overall and the G3 class winner moving up one spot. This is revenge for Phoenix Racing (who is affiliated with Carsport Holland) who was beaten by the Vitaphone Maserati last year.
