As long as he is against my number one belief, which is enhancement of stem cell research, I refuse to vote for him. He doesn't have a chance anyways, he's too conservative...GWB created fear in voting for a far right wing person, I don't see one getting elected for the next 4 elections at least. Just a belief, I could be wrong, often am.

Quoting AsstChiefMark (Reply 6): When he tries to smile, he seems to mimic that smart-ass, shyster sneer of Dick Cheney.
Not even close - since when have we seen Fred sneer like Cheney? Are you trying to subtely call that a sneer? Cheney has a face made for Halloween - Fred only has the grandpa look about him.

Quoting Falcon84 (Reply 12): Actually Fred would have fit in perfectly in the days of the Revolution, looking at his uniform: on the side of the British.
That's red Falon... the Brits were the ones in red.
I'd have Thompson, and if not available, I'd go w/Richardson. (There are other conservative candidates after Thompson, but they're either too nutty or have no chance.) Richardson at least seems honest. Also, he seems to be the least elitist of the Dem. candidates. *coughHillarycough*

Quoting AC773 (Reply 15): Fundraising is apparently down "markedly". Not looking good for Fred's campaign which he hasn't technically started yet.
Yeah if I saw people donating money to a campaign and then nothing happened, I'd avoid it too. Nothing says "waste of money" like giving money to a presidential candidate who isn't, well, a presidential candidate.

Former Senator Thompson has sold conservative credentials (no on abortion rights and no on the myth of stem cell research).
Anything to avoid a Clinton Restoration or a Barry Obama reign.

Which is exactly what the nations doesn't need at this time. We've seen what "solid conservative credentials" have gotten us the last 7 years. No thank you.
