AUS Mini-meet/BHM Warm Up.

I know a couple of people had expressed interest in a mid August get together in Austin.

But.... we're officially slackers... having conducted approximately zero planning so far.

So here we go:

AUS MINI-MEET PLANNING THREAD

Unless I heard wrong Queso was already going to be in AUS 8/6 - 8/10. I think that 8/11 - 8/12 would probably be our best bet.

Do we know of a range we can use?
- What kind of range fees are we looking at?
- Any limitations on ammunition? (HP only?)

Oh, and who's with us?

Also, Mark (AsstChiefMark) is going to be down there for a month or so around august IIRC.

There is Red's Indoor Range. $12.50/hr I believe. There is another range off Hamilton Pool Rd, where Travis County Sheriff's practice. I think it's $5/gun.

Big or small....its kind of tough planning a meet without talking about it. I live an 8 hour drive from AUS, so its not like we are all from the same area Smile

Mini, as in I don't plan on expending 1,000+ rounds in AUS... which is why it's also a BHM warm up. Wink

I would like to do one down here in S. FL.

I have access to a private range, and I have plenty of goodies to shoot.

It would probably be next year as BHM is an expense for all those attending.

Definately. Although I'm sure BHM will be fun, there is no denying there's GOT to be more exciting places in the world than Alabama Silly
