Everyone i talk to says KL is the best place, everyone says Singapore is very expensive to Australians and the accomodation is really expensive.
In September im going to KL and Singapore only going to KL cause everyone says its cheap!
But if you are after designer clothes try the USA comapred to here everything was extremely cheap, like Armani suits were 1/3rd the price they are here after the conversion.

I bought some designer shirts for about AUD15 each, and that was from a department store in Bukit Bintang. They were having a sale. I'm sure I may have got them cheaper elsewhere but I was just walking through and saw them. Even everyday stuff seems to be half the price it is here in Australia.
Eating out is cheap too with plenty if places to choose from. Restaurants, hawkers - just don't go to Maccas (actually I think all their stuff comes from Australia).
Hotels - I've stayed in 4-5 star hotels in KL for a week, for not much more than you'd pay for a NIGHT in similar hotels in Sydney. Asiarooms.com is your friend..

Hmm, well I was in Bangkok 2 weeks ago, meeting up with a friend that lives there and another friend who lives in KL who came up too. She said KL is quite expensive...?! I can't comment since I've never been.
To be honest, I never really liked Bangkok, as Singapore was my shopping destination. However, after my latest trip out to BKK, I think I've found my new shopping city There's heaps of malls all with designer stores, and then there's always the night markets for DVDs and stuff like that.
Or, maybe you could get some cheap fares with Air Asia and check all 3 cities out?!
