Two pairs of cheap knock-off Wayfarers, one pair black, the other pair tortoiseshell. If they break or the lenses get scratched, I'm not going to cry about it, as I can just buy another pair of them on eBay. I'd love to get a real pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers, but to paraphrase Jeff Foxworthy, you buy an expensive pair of sunglasses, you lose them almost immediately. Get a pair of cheap ones and you just can't seem to lose them.

Whenever cheap pairs that are polarized, dark lensed, and wrap-around. It's not worth spending more than $20 on sunglasses because their inevitably get scratched, sat upon, or lost.
I have a $16 pair that I got in Las Vegas last year that I use for riding the scooter. They have tiny little words on the bows that say "NASCAR." I have another $18 pair that I bought at Walgreen's when the NASCAR ones got a scratch right in the view of view.

Prescripted ( -1.25 left, -0.75 right ) brown Zeiss glasses. Roughly $700. For seeing at distance.
Some cheap plastic thing ( +1.00 / +1.00 ) for reading in the sun, probably $10 in a super market.
That's how it goes when getting old.
Getting old isn't always so nice. But then, have a look at the only alternative....
Then not too long time ago a found in a drawer with old stuff my good $250 1988 vintage Ray-Ban glasses. Since they don't bend the light rays, then I can use them only for looking at 3 feet distance with the left eye and 4 feet with the right eye. Which doesn't happen very often.

25 TZ757300: Asa do I, although I didn't get them through the gov't.
26 ExFATboy: I have Oakley Half Jackets for golf (one pair here in NY, one pair with my second set of clubs in Tampa Bay - one less thing to haul back and forth),
27 AsstChiefMark: Wow. Is this you waxing your beaver?
28 FighterPilot: No, thats not mine, I don't own a beaver. I have found that a waxed beaver rides a lot smoother though. Cal
29 AsstChiefMark: I spoze. How bout dem Turbo Beavers, eh? Day make da coolest sounds, doncha know.
30 FighterPilot: Word, I love the sound of a beaver spooling up. Cal [Edited 2007-08-03 04:03:29]
31 CurtisMan: I have several pairs and they are worn depending on the occasion. I pretty much have 2 of each of the following (give/take): Bolle, Revo, Vuarnet, Oak
32 N174UA: Cheap pair: Levi's brand...$10. Expensive pair: Emporio Armani $152 (120 Euros) last September, bought in Sansepolcro, Italy.
