During the time CGT was building the SS Normandie and Cunard was building the RMS Queen Mary1, White Star (the maker of the Titanic) was building a third Oceanic to compete with the ships already mention. The third RMS Oceanic was supposed to be 60000 ton 1010 feet long and 120 feet wide, she was to be powered by diesel not steam like the Normandie and Queen Mary was. She was supposed to go after the blue ribban also. I wanted to know if anybody know any more info on this ship, for example, was it going to have three or four props and was it's diesels, Diesel electric or slow speed.
The second ship I ask about, was supposed to be the sister ship to the beautiful SS Normandie, she was the SS Bretagne. I know she was supposed to be between 80000 to 100000 ton and able the travel around 36 knots, I believe she had just two funnels like the Queen Elizabeth had.
