At least 14 people have been killed and 65 are missing after a bridge under construction in southern China collapsed, and 400 police have been sent to the scene to keep order, state media reported.

Twenty-two people were injured in the collapse of the 320-metre (1,000-foot) bridge, which blocked a highway during the evening rush hour.
