It's official. According to Reuters and API, Actress Sally Struthers has been signed to portray Rula Lenska in an upcoming CBS TV Film, "Rula: The Story Of A Star", based on the life of the Beautiful British red haired actress/singer. Rula, best known for her Alberto V05 and Fairy Dish Detergent TV spokesperson roles, was reported as being absolutely delighted at the producers choice of the voluptuous Struthers to play her in the TV telefilm. Producer Marty "Spanky" Lipshitz and director Yackie Lefcowitz are both confident that Ms. Struthers will effectively convey Rulas sense of sexiness and sultry, smoky delivery of dialogue. Media reporters caught up with Ms. Struthers as she exited a Dairy Queen in Los Angeles yesterday. They were unable to retrieve any comprehensible comments from this former "All In The Family" star, as she was munching furiously on a double Brazier Burger, and gulping down a frosty chocolate milkshake. "Rula: The Story Of A Star" is scheduled to air on CBS in the fall of 2002!!

KROC, thanks so much for not giving this imperative showbiz newsflash the "shaft" LOL.
WHO CARES about Ms. Sally Struthers, some of you ask??? Why!.......if Carroll O'Connor were alive today, he'd slap your faces silly.
And don't listen to Yyz717. Rula was NO hooker, NOR was she an ASTROlogist. How DARE you slander the good name of the divine Ms. Lenska!! Neil, Neil, Neil, tch tch tch......aye yi yi yi yi..............what am I
gonna do with ya? We DO agree on one thing about Sally though, Neil. She DOES cry waaayyy
too much on-camera, and should knock it off, before someone takes away her S.A.G. membership card.
HEY! Do any of you guys remember Sally's recurring
guest appearances on the late 70's show, "Don Adams
Screen Test"?? Hmm? Just wonderin.

Ms. Eve Plumb, the highly neurotic near-sighted ("Jan, your father and I think that you may need glasses".
Jan: "Glasses! No mom! Glasses will make me look positively GOOFY!!") ABC-TV child star of yesteryear, was in fact offered the role of Rula. Ms. Plumb reportedly showed up at the offices of Marty "Spanky" Lipshitz to read for the role. However, Ms. Plumb was furious to find her ex-Brady co-star, Maureen McCormack, alias Marcia, there to read for the role of Rula as well. Eve, who has seen her fair share of competing with her TV sister, was reported to have thrown down the script and yelled "Marcia Marcia Marcia!!", and stormed out of Marty's office.
