Typical English Sunday dinner for us....

Roast beef, potatoes boiled and roasted, leeks in cheese sauce, cauliflower, green beans and peas. Oh and not forgetting Yorkshire puds and gravy.

Just come off a night shift and thinking about it already!!

English Sunday dinner

Is that lunch dinner or dinner at dinner time, ie evening, Claire?  Wink

Last night's dinner wasn't too exciting, take away Fontana chicken schwarma with peri-peri sauce bought on the way home from the pub. I was on my bike so by the time I got home the cold wind had almost frozen it!

After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF...

It's 9am and too early to decide here, but last night I had a friend round and we had a great meal of guacamole sprinkled with chopped fried ham to start, followed by a home-made Thai red chicken curry, then managed to stuff ourselves completely with apple crumble and cream, all washed down with a couple of bottles of plonk.

I had a delicious BBQ chicken sandwich for dinner about seven hours ago while I was at work. Sixteen hours from now... beats the shit out of me. I'll probably just go out and buy some pre-cooked/pre-sliced chicken, anchovies, and dressing and make a "homemade Caesar salad." Always a favorite in the JCS17 household of one.

Tomorrow I start my MBA program, so I am going to "Outback". I usually get the "Outback Special", 12 ounce, with mashed potatoes. I think I will also have a Killians. For dessert, I will be having the new apple cobbler they offer.

I had a steak with pepper sauce, a baked potato and a small mixed salad earlier tonight.

Damn, a friend and me ate both lunch and dinner in restaurants in the last four days, I should not wonder that my wallet is empty now.  Wink

I'm gonna go over to the Fox & Hound in Arlington Heights. That's one of my favorite places to eat/drink/watch sports...they have a ton of TVs, a great menu and like 20 beers on tap.

Also, it's Cubs/Cards on ESPN, so they'll be some good baseball to watch.
