Today I was on my My Space, and this girl from school suddenly sends a message saying "I want to go out with you".  Wow! Although I've seen people say "why are you asking airliner fans on dating advice", but I need it right now. The only other date I've been on is another girl from my school. I'm very sorry if this has been discussed before (which probably has), but I want to make this girl happy when we start dating. Thanks for advice.  Smile

If you find her attractive, then go out with her.
However, know that even though she asked you out you will still be expected to foot the bill for the evening.

One night out is "a date", not "dating". There is no guarantee that she will be the love of your life, or even that you will go out together a second time. Look at this as a compatibility test drive.

Exactly, and just to listen to whatever she has to say, if she is the talkative type, dont even look up at the sky if an aircraft flies by.

My parents sometimes talk to me about being nice to girls, and I don't know if I should tell my parents this because I'll be immediately embarrassed.

You received really great advice from this thread. If I could add anything to it, it would be to make sure you can find the hole. Because no matter how nice you are to her, if you can't get it in, it will pretty much ruin the night.

In my opinion, honestly, don't come to a forum for dating advice. Why don't you ask the advice of one of her girl friends? At least you have the inside advantage in that case.

Dating Advice Needed Right Now!

* don't mention airplanes

* don't ask her to sign your airport petition.

* avoid using big words like "pilates"

* if you're catholic, don't admit it

* if she has a younger sister, completely learn the back story to "Hannah Montana"

* don't over impress or under impress. therefore you buy at full price from The Gap.

* you can't even learn to drive yet, so ordering by number is perfectly acceptable

From "A Bronx Tale" -

Do the door test.

Open her door for her, but have your side intentionally locked. When she gets in, walk around the back and look through the window and see if she leans over and unlocks the door for you. If she does, she's a keeper. if not, get rid of her, she's a selfish person.

Other than that, be yourself. Be courteous, open doors for her, pull her chair out, etc. Enjoy yourslef and have a good time. After a recent divorce, I'm finding myself in the dating world again after about 7 years. It's nerve racking and fun at the same time, don't worry about anything.

And like someone else said, check with your friends, too. Take most of the advise here with a grain of salt. I'm suprised I have seen the cargo bay picture or the "This thread is usless without pics" quote.  Smile

Uh oh. If you like her enough, don't let that stop you! If they have a big issue with that, get to know them. You could go and hang out at her house as friends a few times, maybe things will change.

Whats exactly what me and my now ex done...

Her parents didn't want her going out with anyone as she was moving school even though she "liked" me.. so I went round to her house a few times and showed my face and just done the friend thing and won her parents over to like me (I think  silly  ) so just because the parents don't know you, doesn't mean they don't want to.
