I just bought the XBOX version (that is also available for PC and PS2) of Max Payne about a week ago and am so into it that any available free time at all has been spent playing it. I haven't even been on the internet for 6 whole days! Have you played this game, give me your thoughts.

I played it when it first came out for the PC. Awesome game. It's short though, so watch out your probably almost doen with it. Replaying it isn't very much fun. But that bullet time thing is soooo sweet. Also the reflections in the mirrors really looked hokey, don't you think? Do you like the X-box? Played Halo? Or DOA 3?

As far as what I think of the XBOX, I can see a definite performance advantage over the PS2, which is a great system. The PS2 displays 25-35 frames a second and the XBOX gets into the high 60's which is just incredible. It has a 10GB Hard Drive (no need for a memory card) to keep your gameplay, a 733Intel chip and the most awesome NVidia 64MB video card and DDR Ram. It weighs almost ten pounds and uses a scaled down version of Windows 2000, can you believe that? IMO, the PlayStation 2 gets a rating of 8, the XBOX gets a 9 (not 10 bacause the game selection still sucks).
The mirrored images are hokey, you're right about that! I've played Halo and not DOA 3, Halo's graphics are astounding but it doesn't interest me.

Hey thanks for the reply, been thinking of getting one. My better half says I have to quit smoking first. Just wanted to know if it was worth it. I mean lung cancer or nexgen console, decisions.. decisions.

Hold off for a while, keep up the smoking! Wait until these two games come out before you buy it, if you like driving games.

I have it for PC, and although I haven't finished it yet, I've been pretty impressed so far.
Certainly, the graphics are stunning, and the level of interactivity really helps to make the game engrossing. The bullet time feature, while a gimmick, is very cool and very handy in a lot of situations. It's also neat how the game offers dynamic difficulty settings, which in theory, automatically adjust to your ability.
