I'm Getting Too Old! 22 Tomorrow

Just letting everyone known my dissatisfaction with turning 22 tomorrow (9-8-07). I know everyone is going to flame me, but it seems like yesterday i was in junior high with virtually no responsibility and now I'm in my senior year of college which is getting rather stressful. There really isn't anything to look forward to except retirement. At 16 I could drive, at 17 go to an R rated movie, and 21 I could drink legally but 22...? Anyway, I miss the good ole' days when I didn't have to worry bout anything. So tomorrow I tack on another year and hope for the best.

Anyone else wish they could go back a few years?

Remember go for the cocktail specials. Be sure to let them know you are a birthday boy in much need of some freebies.

You should learn one thing guys...a man is not old until he turns (at least) 40-45..

You have your whole lives ahead of you, as do i at 24..

So there is really not much to complain about in my opinion. And as far as carelfree vs getting older and working to make money goes..give me the money any day. Even though i did have a great great time in school.

Currently 23, with 24 fast approaching. I long for pre-school naps and playground time. Back when life simple. Before the internet and ipods and cable TV.

Most bars on 6th Street only give freebies if it's your 21st birthday. Slovacek, in the event you do find one down there that will give you freebies, let me know! I'll go there for my next birthday (which is slightly more depressing than yours..27)

I would def for the fun time,Enjoyment & happy days when one is in School/College, but then also there were tough financial times & responsibilities.

Today the work gets in the Money, but the fun time has reduced. So I try to enjoy my work  Smile

Slovacek,

Wasn't aware you were in Austin, but 6th St on weekends pretty much blows. Tues and Thurs night are awesome for drink deals.

Fox and Hound, Cloak Room, and Ginger Man are all great places to get a pint!

Happy Birthday dude.

Count me in, just turned 24 and am thinking what the hell is still ahead of me. I can't comfort you that it'll get better, I thought it might when I was 22, kinda losing hope now.

Happy Birthday though! I say make the most of today if you think times ahead will be even worse. The glass is half full!!
