I'm 22 and was just wondering if there were any young gay men interested in aviation, like myself, here in Chicago.

This must be what 'the edge' feels like.
Airliners.net is a lot of things - a gathering place to talk about most things - but it is NOT a DATING SERVICE.
There are hundreds of sites out there for that kind of garbage, so go use them.

How about here in LA and the surrounding vicinity?
Anyone want to get together to compare fuselage lengths?

I read somewhere that something on the order of 55 Million American men are either gay or seriously contemplating it (Don't ask how they know these things). Matt D'd about turn shouldn't come as a surprise.

Hey Heavy....
I sent you an e-mail last week to your non-Assenmacher address... did you get it??
Hoffa: 55 million eh??!?.....
So many men... so little time...
And yes folks, of course Matt was joking. A 180 degree turn in attitude and communicative style from his abrasive postings of yesteryear concerning this subject... very nice to see.

What ticks me off is that a STUPID post like this can get stars.. What a worthless waste of time..

I find the postings on this thread friggin' HILARIOUS!
...And yes, Matt D's post is most likely a sarcastic joke. (and even if it's NOT in jest, it's perfectly okay with me.)

I'm a South-Sider, young, but possess a straight record of heterosexuality. BTW, not only does my "plane" have a stretched widebody fuselage, but it also has a large centerline fuel tank!!!

... as I expected. People are gonna have silly things to say to this thread.
No, I am not looking to date anyone... I'm relatively new to Chicago and was just thinking that this would be a good place to meet someone who is gay and who also likes aviation.

Indianguy,
WRONG.
Harmless flirtation banter does not make a "pick up joint", neither does Highflyah's question on whether there are other gay guys in the Chicago area that are into aviation.

Well, Chicago has its fair share of gay bars - The Manhole, circuit, Roscoes, Crobar on Sunday nights, RedDog on Monday nights, Spin, etc - maybe you could there and check them out.
I'm a clubber so I know about these bars.
