How Do You Get Your DVD's Onto Your IPod?

I've been having trouble getting some of my movies onto my iPod to watch on my flight to MCI thursday. I figured, who knows more than all of the A-Net members. What's your way of getting them on there?

You'd have to "rip" them, wouldn't you?
Which... is basically illegal. But I'm sure you can find DVD ripping software online.

PC, I use 'DVD-to-iPod', and on my MacBook I use iSquint.
