1. 2G iPod Nano 4GB Silver
2. Paid £129 + £20 for charger + case which would've been £40 at Currys.digital but paying in cash helped me to pay only £20 for charger + case - overall good value

4. A few, lately the running time bar has frozen somewhere near the 4:00 mark and not moving after playing several different songs, synced my iPod the other night without adding songs and next day found out it had wiped several songs off my iPod, wire on the original headphones broke last week so bought a pair of Sony headphones as replacements
5. Mix of old and new bands
6. Overall rating 7.5/10

I left mine in the Renaissance hotel in AMS in a hungover moment of madness and it never got handed in so I'm going to buy a new one when I go to the USA at the end of the month. So for the old one:

1. 30GB Black iPod video
2. Bought it the Apple store near RDU ages ago for about $400 I think
3. Yeah I did love it until I was stupid to leave it in a hotel.. d'oh
4. Only when I was stupid enough to run a beta copy of Vista and managed to wipe the damn thing. But that's my own stupidity
5. Far too long to list.. Anything and everything.
6. 10. Never used the video bit on it but for audio I couldn't fault it. Hence why I'll be buying another  Smile

1. 30 GB Black iPod video (6th generation)
2. I payed $250 for it. Yes, it is very much worth it.
3. I love it. It makes carrying music SO much easier.
4. The hard drive froze on my last iPod (3rd Generation), other than that, just be prepared for a battery seepage the longer you have it.
5. God, I only have about 780 songs, some videos, 1 feature length movie, and album artwork. Basically every genre of American music is covered, as well as some foreign music.
10. 9.8/10 Losing .2 for the battery. It is a phenomenal piece of technology.

1. What kind of iPod do you have?

1st generation nano, 4GB, black. (About two years old now.)

Quoting QantasA333 (Thread starter):
2. Is the price good value?

yes. Today you'd get more memory, a full-metal case and improved features for the same price, so it's still quite decent.

Quoting QantasA333 (Thread starter):
3. Do you like?

Sure. Its plastic front (since replaced by metal) has some cosmetic scratches and the battery capacity has decreased a bit, but it still works well and is a pleasure to use.

Quoting QantasA333 (Thread starter):
4. Any techincal difficulties?

Very rarely it refuses to switch off on command (holding the play/pause button for a while). A restart fixes that (holding menu+center for a while).

Quoting QantasA333 (Thread starter):
5. What is on yours?

Usually a random mix from my library (which doesn't nearly fit all in the 4GB); Also text notes and a synched copy of my iCal data.

8-9. There are a few changes I'd make, but nothing fundamental.

2. I think the current price is a good value, but still glad I got my $100 store credit after the price drop (paid $599).
3. I absolutely love my iPhone - it combined two devices I carried around and traveled with regularly - my k610i phone and my prior iPod model, a 30 GB video.
4. Initially, yes but those have all been worked out through firmware updates. I have also found that it should be rebooted every now and then but this hasn't been an inconvinience.
5. All of my top rated (i.e. five star) music on iTunes.

1. Just got home with a brand new 16gb iPod touch.
2. Little on the pricey side.. but its loaded with cool features... wi-fi, safari, calendar, etc.
3. Haven't really played with it too much yet, but so far i like it a lot.
4. None.
5. Already have 531 songs on it, 1 podcast, and 255 pictures.
6. 9 / 10.

I also have a 4gb iPod mini - green... had it for a couple years. It works well but there's a short in the headphone jack so the cable has to be in the right spot or the left headphone / speaker shorts out.. it served me well for a few years.

Yep, I've had to replace the hard drive on my 20GB model, but luckily it was under warranty. The battery life is going down-hill and I am starting to think about an after-market higher-capacity battery.
