Alright Guys...the last thread was getting a bit long, and Brazil is just over a week out.

Things seem to be getting really interesting, with both Toyota and Renault interested in Alonso.

Not even to mention all the excitement building up around the final race...

Who's going to take the Driver's Championship?...Does anyone think Hamilton will take it?

P.S. Can someone post a Lap around interlagos?...I'm at work and Youtube is blocked here...

I'm getting kinda excited, as A. The race will be live here...in the daytime..no more waking up at 2 am to watch races for this year...Plus...Interlagos is one of my favourite circuits.

Alonso.

If anything it will be Renault. He'll get what he wants there.

I hope he goes back to renault where he belongs, although i am a Mclaren/Alonso fan i was delighted when
i heard he was coming to Mclaren but i always had a doubt in my mind about it being the right move for him,
so i reckon Flavio will have an open chequebook to get him back.

No, Alonso will deliver.

I really hope Kimi takes it, but that is really hard.

Btu between Hamilton/Alonso I think Alonso will win. To good for Hamilton.

Okey, this was what I can continue with from the Chines F1 thread.

Alonso has signed a letter of intent to rejoin Renault for next season.

Here is a link:

This was not a surprise for me. If Alonso would continue with McLaren next season too, it would be madness.

crossfingers  for Kimi. I will not say he really dominated the season but seeing him up there still makes me believe he can win the title. But I do believe if everything runs normal for Hamilton that he has no chance.

Alonso ....no comment..... in my eyes he won´t deserve it but I give him a little credit for fighting through the season.  Smile

He said this prior to last race as well. There is only one small thing Massa forgot...........to actually be FASTER then Kimi.
He can talk all he wants, but nah....he will not win this one. It is about 3 drivers, and Massa is not one of them.

Frankly,
Toyota offer Alonso so much money, so seems pretty strange to me that, considering their budget, that they are so far down the grid.

Alonso has far more experience then Hamilton, and Hamilton can say that is does not feel any pressure, but that is pure bull$hit. He is human as the rest of the grid.
But ok, when the flag drops we know.

Alonso.

I'm surprised so many of you are so sure that Alonso is going to win the championship. Even if Alonso is on perfect form and dominates the race, Hammy still has a 5 point lead and needs to finish off the podium for Alonso to win the title, which given his form throughout the year is highly unlikely. I imagine the track will suit the Ferraris as it did last year, so my prediction is that Massa will use the motivation of racing in his home country to repeat just like 2006 with the pole and the win, and Alonso and hamilton will be 2nd and 3rd, giving Hamilton the title. It should be incredible to watch, I really hope whoever wins the title does it without controversy as we have seen quite enough of that. That being said, I hope Lewis drives majestically under pressure and takes a well-deserved title.

As an interesting F1-related tidbit, apparently Ferrari has signed a deal with A1 GP organizers to produce the new A1 GP engines next year, as well as taking on a direct consultant role in the chassis development, which I've heard will be based on the F1 2007, though detuned to be several seconds a lap slower than the F1 cars. http://f1.gpupdate.net/en/news/2007/...11/ferrari-signs-a1gp-supply-deal/

This is very interesting, as Ferrari hasn't built cars for an open wheel series since their aborted IndyCar in the late 80s, and prior to that it must have been their V6 Tasman Series cars from the mid/late 1960s. It will also increase the appeal of the A1GP series, which IMO is fantastic to watch, as the cars will now be a name brand as opposed to Lola-Zyteks or whatever they were. They'll probably also be faster than the old cars if they are going to be based off of the technology of this year's constructor's championship F1 Ferrari. Excellent news, though it would be better if they started building V12 engines based off of those they last ran in 1995 in F1, purely for sound reasons  Smile

Four points. But that's the thing. If they were two points apart, then I'd say Alonso because of his superior experience he can cope better with the pressure. But with 4 points, even if Alonso drives a great race, Hamilton just needs to do an average race to win the championship.
