I would think that Burger King belongs somewhere on that list. Perhaps Subway too.

I think it has to be one of the biggest atleast in the US, every single exit on Highway 5 from about the CA-99 junction to I-580 had a Mcdonalds, its was annyoing because the only thing for breakfast was Mcdonalds, sucks.

It depends on the definition of "biggest"...

- Subway has the most restaurants in the USA
- McDonald's has the most worldwide (for one individual brand)
- Yum! brands has the most restaurants worldwide for a company (about 34000 according to Wikipedia) - Yum! includes KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silvers, and A&W

I'd say the most widespread in the Philippines is 'Jollibee'. I'm not sure if it's part of any large chain in the rest of the world, but you couldn't turn around anywhere without seeing one. Food wasn't exactly great either... and that's putting it mildly!

I tried one, IN LOS ANGELES. Not bad, but I'd rather stick with Mcdonalds or Jack in the Box.

2) Hardy's

First, Hardee's isn't even an independent company with an independent menu. They are owned by CKE, and share most of their menu items with Carl's Jr. Further, after CKE purchased Hardee's, they took on the branding of Carl's Jr. Anyway, Burger King is significantly larger than Carl's Jr./Hardee's as well as Wendy's

McDonald's as a single brand has gone back and forth with Subway in recent years.

There is one in Silver Lake, which is a district of Los Angeles, of all places.

Actually, that was the one I was talking about. I guess it isn't exactly in Silver Lake, but I associate it with there because I only ever pass it when I am on my way to/from Silver Lake.

I think their limited locations (expanding into Southern Utah next year) can answer that for you.

They have done very well, but are comparatively tiny.

Not even the largest pizza company much less largest fast food chain. Number of outlets:

Pizza Hut 12,600
Dominoes 8,366
Papa John's 3,015

Yum Brands is bigger in terms of # of resteraunts: 34,000 vs. 31,045. However McDonalds kills them in revenue and net income - 21B vs. 9B.

All info from Yahoo Finance.

25 Bagpiper : Not true. Depends on the location. We never had Carl's Jr. here on the East Coast, so, all the Hardee's still stayed Hardee's. Although, they now hav
26 N1120A : And I don't know if you can really consider pizza as "fast food" Not necessarily. Those Yum! numbers count all brands, while the McDonald's ones only
27 Post contains links EI787 : 1. McDonald's 2. Burger King 3. Wendy's 4. Subway 5. Taco Bell 6. Pizza Hut 7. KFC 8. Applebee's 9. Starbucks 10. Domino's From: http://www.the10thatm
28 N1120A : That list is incorrect. Burger King has 1/3rd the outlets that Subway has, and Wendy's is even smaller.
29 Corey07850 : Not even close Not to mention that Starbucks and Applebess aren't exactly fast food restaurants
30 Styles9002 : What about Phat Burger?
31 N1120A : I think you mean Fatburger. They aren't that big.
