There is a well known lack of women in China right now. The future effects of this are hard to gauge. But there will be millions of Chinese men that will NEVER have a chance to marry.
It was my understanding that there have been kidnappings, where a woman has been taken to become a wife.
Hopefully women will slowly start to become more valued in the overall Chinese culture. Though this applies more to the rural Chinese.

When I was in college (1981-1985) at a major research university in northern California I attended a panel discussion on interracial dating. As there was a sizable population of Asian-Americans at this university, much of the discussion focused on the large number of Asian-American females who dated caucasian males. When the discussion turned to this, almost to a person the Asian-American women on the panel said they preferred white guys to Asian men because, and I quote exactly what they said: "Asian guys are wimps." This was said by the Asian-American female students on the panel. Their bluntness was astonishing to hear, especially since, coming from Asian-American women, it sounded so "poltically incorrect." First of all, define 'Asian'. That can include a huge range of different nationalities, cultures, religions. Japanese, Chinese (with it's regional sub-groups), Korean, Vietnamese, Philippine, Laotian, Hmong, Thai, Indian, Indonesian, and many others are 'Asian'. Then you have a wide range of faiths from Protestant or Catholic Christian, Confucianism, Buddhist, Hindu and others.
While many find it acceptable for a white American or European male to date a Asian women, you might find sadly too many in the USA finding Black American men dating Asian women to be wrong. In the USA, more important factors would be level of education, if the woman is seeking citizenship, or a sense of financial security. I do know of several guys who married very nice and accomplished Chinese women and have children. In one case one guy I know is half Syrian and Dutch, his wife immigrant Chinese. What an interesting mix those kids are.

As far as the main article: I have heard black women say the same thing about black guys dating white women. A white friend of mine dated a couple of black guys and really got hounded for it by her black women friends. They really resented her for it.

Wow, shes makes us guys of Asian Origin feel a whole lot better about ourselves, even if we've been brought up and raised in a western society, speaking english and going to school with whites, blacks and brown people all our lives.
If Asian girls like white guys, good for them but I hope not everyone groups us 'chinky males' into a basic unfortunate stereotype. Been on the recieving end of that, aint a nice feeling I'll tell you that much, but hey racial difference is part of life and its everywhere.
There are stereotypes about asian girls and other races as well, some not so nice things, I wonder why this wasn't brought up... Eek
As for the original question. If Asian guys outnumber girls by 3-1 in future, then we better look 'offshore' as well then All the girls that have ever thought or think about me in that way to my knowlege have been white, so good to know some people still don't group everyone based on colour...

My experience is somewhat different. I dated a first generation Korean-American woman in the Houston area back in 2000. The relationship was very conflictive because she had an issue with me not being Asian. I am Caucasian. Particularly she had a problem, and her family had a problem with me not being Korean. They also had an issue with them being Episcopalian and me Catholic. In the end it got to be too much. Even though I tried to learn Korean, get an interest in the culture, even go to Episcopalian services. I got tired of not being Korean. Sad really, as otherwise, she was a wonderful girl.
I did get a feel for Korean cuisine, specially quim-chi. My love for quim-chi lasts to this day.
