"DECATUR, Ga. - The 80-year-old leader of a suburban Atlanta megachurch is at the center of a sex scandal of biblical dimensions: He slept with his brother's wife and fathered a child by her.
Members of Archbishop Earl Paulk's family stood at the pulpit of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit at Chapel Hill Harvester Church a few Sundays ago and revealed the secret exposed by a recent court-ordered paternity test.
In truth, this is not the first — or even the second — sex scandal to engulf Paulk and the independent, charismatic church. But this time, he could be in trouble with the law for lying under oath about the affair.
The living proof of that lie is 34-year-old D.E. Paulk, who for years was known publicly as Earl Paulk's nephew."

Quoting Itsnotfinals (Thread starter): Another Evangelical Sex Scandal this time involving an 80 year old with a 34 year old secret. Looks like this guy was kicking it old school with his brother's wife back in the day. Very Old Testament!
This guy's a horndog, that's for sure.
That doesn't hold a candle to "I was smoking meth with the guy and getting a massage from the guy. He's a gay prostitute but I'm not gay, dammit" Ted Haggard.

It's look'in like the ATL Mega-Churchs are all of a sudden takin' one on the chin for a variety of reasons. Kinda makes you wonder how that congregation's gonna feel about that when it comes time to pass the plate.
Ah, Summer, Fenway Park, Boston Red Sox and Beer.....
Yeah....it's not being denied very strongly. It's obvious that the slant on this thread is biased against churches in some degree.

I dunno....I used to wonder how they'd feel if they knew that Bishop Long had a Gulfstream, but Creflo's folks actually take pride in the two jets they bought him. It seems there's some vicarious living happening here.

Quoting ZTagged (Reply 7): Every group, be it religious or otherwise, has it's share of oddballs.
Isn't that the truth!
I wasn't trying to imply that religion is perfect... its far from it. We're humans. Of course it ain't perfect. However, when people talk about religion and one thing that went wrong, they seem to think that makes all religious people wrong, retarded, gay, hypocrites, whatever the case may be.
However, if that were true, then all Democrats have given Bill Clinton a blow job.

DL021: I seem to recall hearing/reading recently that certain mega-church leaders/televangelists, Creflo Dollar being one, I believe Joyce Meyer being another, are under federal investigation for misuse of funds.
Then you've got those whose wives berate flight attendants

Plus the local papers running investigative stories on them...... and they don't really care. I was almost run over at the Land Rover dealership by one of Bishop Longs sons recently....driving his brand new $80k vehicle. I wonder what he does for a living?
