Well, over the years we have all posted pictures of our pets. For those of us who love animals, I share your love.
I'm sad to say that my little buddy ChiChi who you've all seen pictures of for the past 7 years died yesterday morning. quoting "Vapor Lock" If I got your user name wrong, forgive me:
Gradually, my brown tabby Mr. Bigglesworth started to eat less then finally stopped eating the other day. I took him into the vet where, he came into my life 9 years ago. This morning the vet called and said he stopped breathing for the second time and he had a large mass in his lung. As you can figure he passed several hours ago.
So, I ask you all this: Please don't pity me but please give a shout out and thanks to the people who have to deal with the turbulent emotions that those who work at:
PETA (OK, sometimes they go way out)
And for that lady in La La land behind the doggy Iggy give her a hug for her dedication and for Christ's sake stop giving her shit for the whole Ellen De Generous Iggy story which was and still is tabloid fodder. Maybe things were handled wrong but....
Sorry for the quality. Biggie is the big dark brown tabby. As you can see, he brought a lot of sunshine and great LOL moments into my life. Sharing your life with a pet: PRICELESS! However one caveat is that awful inevitble moment when it's time to say goodbye.
Mr. Bigglesworth 1997-2007
He came into my life six days after my beloved Jenny Bean passed after the good fight at 17 years. Biggie was a year old and it seems like yesterday!
I'm having trouble posting his pic. I'll try again later. As you can tell I'm in no mood to play Geek Squad rectify this challenge.

Zippyjet, I'm sorry to hear that you lost your kitty. They seize our hearts and don't let go, don't they?
Groups like the SPCA, Humane Society and even PETA do a great job. Someone has to do the job PETA does. They're in the forefront, advancing animal rights and making people think.
Our kitty Walker is fighting lymphoma. He and our other two kitties are our furry children and we love them dearly. Walker's illness has made us realize that we do have to spend all the time we can with him and enjoy every minute because he won't be around forever. Fortunately he is responding very well to chemo so we hope to have a few more years of good quality life for him.

I'm sorry to hear about your pet It is very sad. My kitty is 5 months old. She tugs at my heart strings when she's not living up to her nickname of "devil kitty." The memories with your loved pet will always be remembered for a long time.

I love both cats and dogs. Here is a picture of "Biggie."
"Biggie" was the tubby tabby on the right. The orange tabby with Downs Syndrome eyes is my parent's touched but loveable kitty Boodle Baxter. Baxter is the same age as Biggie and is the apple of my elderly parents especially my momma. God forbid if anything happens to Baxter it would be a category 5 hurricane at my parents house!
April....I understand the anguish about when it's time to say it's over, I have to remind myself that they depend on us to make the right choices for them. I hope he/she gets better, and I know you'll love the little bugger better than anyone else can.

Quoting 2H4 (Reply 9): They really do some amazing work.
Not to be a negative Nelly, but do some research on this group before you donate. They are involved in a lawsuit. I hate to say it because I pointed A.nutters toward Noah's Wish after Katrina but I have lost confidence that they are properly working on their stated mission.

Simon, I'm so sorry to hear that Mr. Bigglesworth has passed away. I know how much it hurts and trust me my heart goes out to you. I know how your feeling and it does get easier with time.
These litttle critters as April says "seize" our hearts and dam it is so hard once they are gone. But just think of the memories you have of all the funny little things he did. Those you can hang onto forever and although they will bring tears to your eyes, you'll be able to smile and know that you got to share all those moments with Mr. Bigglesworth.
I guess that old saying "time waits for no one" is so true even for our pets. His little spirit is free and there will be no pain or suffering.
