Well after last night we know that Arizona State isn't ready for prime time...Watching LSU/Arkansas, and the Hogs are giving LSU fits, leading by 7 with less than 3 minutes to go. I'm sure Aloha Stadium will be rocking tonight, personally I think Hawaii/Boise State is to close to call..

Someone must have gave Arkansas a energy bar, two plays for a TD in the 2nd OT..Lets see if the defense can stop LSU ..Looks like a 3rd OT is pending unless the Hogs, can come up with something special.

50-48. Did you see in the last huddle that the QB was talking to the receiver to whom he would throw? I called it to a guy here at work and pointed to the receiver (at the bottom of the screen). Obviously, the CB didn't need the video feed we all saw.

Just a little over an hour for Hawaii v. Boise State; undefeated vs 1-loss. If Hawaii wins they have a shot for the Sugar Bowl, again it would be great for college football, much like what Boise State did last year.

Quoting AirCop (Reply 14): Somehow I figure that Ohio State/West Virginia both have an excellent chance, since they don't have to play a league championship game.
I really would like to see a Big 12 team in the national title game, but it is possible that the Big 12 championship game could kill it. That game has had a history of killing hopes over the years.
By tomorrow, either Kansas or Missouri will be alone in the Big 12 of hoping for a shot at the title. That team will have to play Oklahoma, and it will not be easy. If Oklahoma wins, then the whole Big 12 is out of the picture. It really is annoying that some conferences have to have a playoff game while others do not. Like you say, neither Ohio State or West Virginia have to take on the risk of playing an extra game before it is decided which bowl they get. I hope the two contenders for the national title game get in there because they won, not because others lost. It makes for an exciting game when it works out that way. I really hope it is either KU(my first choice) or Missouri playing West Virginia, but I will not hold my breath.
I think it has been from the beginning of the season. With all the movement in the top 10, I wonder why we even pay attention to the ratings.
Quoting Copaair737 (Reply 19): I hope Hawai'i makes the BCS. I'd like to see them in the Sugar or Rose Bowl.
I doubt they get to the Rose Bowl, and if they do, it wouldn't end nicely. They may be the best team in their conference, but that's because the rest of the teams are unranked and don't put up much of a fight. Most other conferences have a few ranked teams and much tougher schedules. It should be those teams that play for the title.

I still remember K-State vs. Texas A&M from years back. A&M had a couple of stunners back then, IIRC.
If it's KU or Mizzou vs. WV for the title, and OSU blanks their opponent in the Rose Bowl, it'll be another stink about "who's the champion" all over again. I wouldn't be much disapponted (perhaps not much surprised) if the coaches pulled another Tom Osborne and vote against the BCS winner like they did to Michigan a decade ago.

Not sure if they would really want to mess up the PAC 10/Big Ten match up...of course, no one is all that high in the Big Ten to go.

I think the easy way to solve it is to get all conferences to hold title games. You take the #1 and #2 team in your conference and play a game once the schedule is done. You don't always have to have divisions to hold a title game...but it does make it easier.
It also brings up a point...why should a team who has won 11 games go to the title game ahead of someone who has won 12 or 13? Ah well...tomorrow will help clear things up even more.

Quoting KPDX (Thread starter): Quite a entertaining game on now, Nebraska-Colorado, I'm sure our own USAFHummer is there. Wink
Yep...spent the morning freezing my ass off in the 20 degree weather of Boulder today, but it was well worth it!
The game certainly seemed to flip-flop back and forth for a while...we went up 17-7 in the first quarter, but Nebraska stormed back and by halftime was up 35-24...their offense was clicking and moving at will, and our defense could not stop them...at halftime, I was worried that we would get blown out on our own home field again...however, the third quarter was a complete reversal of fortune as Nebraska basically fell apart...Ganz, their QB (who will be a force next year for them), threw a pick-six and then on their next possession, threw another pick...our offense started to click, and we basically had the game in hand by the fourth quarter...unfortunately, we gave up two late and meaningless touchdowns to Nebraska, which made the final score 65-51...but in reality it was more of a blowout than the score would suggest...
Since my graduation is less than a month away, this was the last game I will see at Folsom Field as a student...certainly an amazing way to go out!! Here's to a bowl berth for the Buffs...
