So I'm sitting here IMing with Sean Mendis about GA TECH football and BOM, and looking at my text message from John Pepper about Hawaii, and exchanging emails with MEL and posting back and forth with a dozen friends and aquaintances I've met here on this site over the last couple of years about a couple of trips I and my wife are taking shortly, and I realize that I've gotten to the 10,000 post mark. It's nothing in particular to be proud of....10,000 posts means I was probably posting here when I should have been working or something.....but it does make me realize how fortunate I am to have all of you on this site who have become my friends,
No matter where I go there's an A.nutter there, and it's sometimes a bit frightening , but I've met people on three different continents from all over the world, made some excellent friends in person, and have greatly expanded my horizons via this site and the people who post in the various forums. Even the people with whom I disagree vehemently on certain issues have in general been great to meet and have become people upon whom I can count for favors and assistance, and they know they can count on me.
So...to the people who are on my RU list, and those that would be if they didn't limit the number I can post there, and to the people who've interacted with me, and to the people who just post their thoughts and photographs and make this site what it is.....and for me it's a hugely distracting wealth of information, discussion and friendship from all over the world and all over the spectrum......
...........I thank you, and look forward to more.h

I rarely enter these pointless threads (for that matter, I rarely enter non-aviation at all), but I'm glad I did this time.
I wanted to congratulate you and tell you how much I've enjoyed your posts. Quite a while ago, you and I got into a fairly heated argument over abortion. While you took in and accepted my opinions, I simply rejected yours. That quaint little discussion has, unbelievably, taught me to listen to all ideas whether I agree with them or not. So thank you.
Anyway, now that I've got that sentimental crap over with - cheers! Here's to another 10,000!
