Are there any upcoming vintage/collector car shows in the NorCal/San Francisco Bay Area?

Over the last few years, I have begun to realize I actually have an interest in older cars (1950s, 1960s, 1970s), especially station wagons and big sedans. Is it because I'm aging?  Wink

Since I moved out here to San Francisco from Fort Wayne, IN, I have seen LOTS of beautiful vintage cars--and most recently, I just had to stop and admire a lovely early 1970s Ford Gran Torino station wagon.

In the Fort Wayne, IN, area, specifically in Auburn, I have attended the annual Auburn Cord Duesenburg Festival & Kruse Collector Car Show and Auction (it happens during Labor Day weekend each year), which draws people from all over the world.

So, I am asking if there are any vintage car shows around the Bay Area.

Maybe Superfly would know?

Please let me know. It will be greatly appreciated!

PS: I just now found out about the San Francisco Auto Show--it ends tomorrow, so I'm heading out to the Moscone Center right now to catch it!

There are a couple I know of in the Monterey area. Down in Pebble Beach, there's the annual Concours d'Elegance, displaying prewar, and postwar automobiles (along with new concept cars). The website is: http://www.pebblebeachconcours.net/

In addition, if you're into vintage racing cars, every year Laguna Seca (the racetrack in the Monterey area) has the Monterey Historic Automobile Races. They don't have the schedule up for next year (I don't think) but I do know it's an annual event. The website is http://www.laguna-seca.com/

So far, those are all that I know of. I'll try and find some more and post them. Good luck with your search  Smile.

You are only a four and a half hour drive from one of the top three old car shows in the country: Hot August Nights in Reno. It is always the first weekend of August. More than 4,500 old cars register each year. There are "show 'n' shines" at every major hotel/casino, nightly cruises in downtown Reno and Sparks, and a huge Silver auction at the convention center. The latter is actually my favorite event because you can see a ton of old cars in a fairly compact location... and most important, it is air conditioned!

Highly recommend this show... but make your hotel reservations very soon.

I'm sorry, ma'am, I don't work for the airline.

Not to hijack my own response... but I see you are now studying at UCSF... my wife is listed there for a kidney or kidney/pancreas transplant... I am a possible kidney donor... best wishes with your studies.
