I've been listening Sigur Ros a little bit lately and can't decide what I think of them--it sounds mostly like background music, but it's really interesting, bizarre-o background music. They're a bit like Bjork and Enya's love child, with maybe a little Travis or Radiohead thrown in for kicks. Anyone here like them? If I were to buy one of their albums which one do you like the most?

Sigur Ros has been my favorite band for a few years now. I find their atmospheric sound beautiful and complex- because of the recording techniques they use, there's always another layer to be discovered. I would agree that () is their best work, but you might find "Takk" or "Ãgætis Byrjun" to be more accessible starting points.
I got to see them in Cleveland during their 2006 "Takk" tour. We bootlegged the whole thing.
