I've heard every conspiracy theory imaginable, like all of you. But this morning I was looking at CNN.Com and they continue to show this so called mystery plane of DC after 9/11. Now I keep watching this video and I am dumbfounded that no one realizes that the white plane was an Air Force E-4B. You can even make out the little bulge on the top of the plane. So is this mystery really still going? And if so, why doesn't the government just come out and say "look, here is the plane it was!"

I saw the same report . . . couldn't help but laugh at the Conspiracy Theorist  redflag  being tossed about.

Wait til the real nutjobs get ahold of it.

Not unusual for an E4 to be up in a circumstance like that . . .

This thread will be fun to watch . . .

Wait for the tin foil hat wearers to chime in.

What the heck CNN? What is so strange about an E4B being deployed when we are under attack? As the thread starter correctly says - it is obvious from the video that that's what we are seeing. Sheesh!

Its not that the plane was not identified, but WHY it was there at that moment back in 2001.

Nonsense, that was proven to be Osama Bin Laden's personal 747. The extra hump was Al-Qaeda's attempt at camouflage. It was supposed to look like a camel parked on the desert.

It had been hours since the attacks began. Why wouldn't a military surveillance plane be up in the air? Likely providing visual confirmation to fighters of any plane getting near the capital/white house area before they blow such intruder out of the sky?

Why doesn't the government release all the surveillance tapes of AA77 from nearby the Pentagon? Why does the Pentagon still claim the E4 isn't a "military plane"? Quite easily answered, all of the banner ad revenue on conspiracy sites gets paid to Halliburton.  stirthepot

I think John King is a pretty good in-the-field guy, but for CNN to put him on this story, when the answer is OBVIOUS-taht it was up there after the attacks to look for more possible bogeys-is beyond me.

I can buy some things that some theorists put out there, but this one, and the one that UA 93 landed in CLE are two I will never buy. The first, because it is obvious, the second, because I was outside CLE when UA 93 allegedly landed there, and nothing landed there. Only thing there was DL1989, sitting in the middle of a taxi-way, surrounded by emergency vehicles.

Still there. Search for 9/11.

Although I do agree that governments do alot that will stay unknown to alot of people, I never understood most of the "common" conspiracies theories of late.

This video for example, is an amazing non-issue to me. That professional people have dedicated time to make it, and that resources were consumed to present a product such as this one at somebody's expense at the end of the day, is beyond me.

And anyone spending a large amount of time on CNN (like me when nothing else is available) will notice that one needs to always turn their intelligence level down many notches to be able to watch it continuously. Although I do rely on and appreciate their speed in showing images whenever a certain event breaks out (keeping it at mute won't make you loose much though).

FYI, there's an active thread in Military Aviation & Space about the same CNN story that was started several months ago:

CNN.com is rerunning the piece for some reason.

I made my first trip to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base a few weeks ago to tour the museum. When we were leaving we took a ride around the base to see if we could catch any cool aircraft out and about. I can neither confirm or deny the fact I may have seen this said aircraft, if it did indeed exist.  Smile

Very cool!

Anyway, typical 9/11 conspiracy hogwash.

Pretty dang obvious what the plane was. And I can't believe that anyone would believe in this conspiracy crap. For the government to pull such a stunt, literally thousands of people sworn to secrecy would have to keep their mouths shut about the whole fiasco...look at history--the government can't even keep a secret between 2 or 3 people most of the time.

Haha....cue the picture of the tin foil hat dude.  Wink I still find "chemtrails" to be much more believable, if that says anything about my take on the 9/11 conspiracy theories.. Big grin
I was wasting my time watching conspiracy youtube videos the other night.....they are freakin' hilarious!
