Happy Hannukah/Chanukah/or however you decide to spell it since it's a translation from an entirely different alphabet!

Of course it's good.

The only thing that my wife cooks that's edible is latkes-very simple stuff, potato pancakes served with applesauce. Back before the days of food processors this was done with a common four sided grater and it was always said that the flavor was augmented by the bloody knuckles of the cook.

Of course she's the one with the membership-I am something of a goy auxiliary-but it's all good.

Yeah I didn't even know Chanukah started last night to tell you the truth. My cousin calls up to wish me a Happy Chanukah and I said, doesn't it start tomorrow? Ooops. When I was young, I knew that date so well. Man, how times have changed.

I just got a few gifts this year. I still need to do shopping. Guess I'm lucky I got 8 days to procrastinate now!

Some. Latkes are the real standout

Or sour cream if there is no meat other than fish on the table. Yummy.

I'll second that.

I love Jewish celebrations, but especially Hanukkah. I have a Jewish aunty and Jewish friends and every year I do something with them.... plus the food is outstandingly brilliant - no other words can describe it.
