Aha...

I watch it Saturday & Sunday on BBC Prime here when it is 2 episodes each day between 1800-1900.

I do it for the girls...

At "Eastenders".

Kara Tointon

Samantha Janus

Rita Simons

Lacey Turner

Laurie Brett

I really don't care for them. Every time I do happen to catch a snippet there is usually a lot of shouting or miserable events taking place - life can be bad enough in reality, so why would you want to sit there watching more pointless misery unfolding in the fictitious lives of others... it really is beyond me!

Rubbish - all soaps.

Hollyoaks has some extremely pleasant eye-candy, but it is hardly intelligent viewing.

You can watch BOTH... News (for example) and a soap.

I do.

Yeah, and I really liked the show, but it's been at least 10 years since I've seen it. It used to be on PBS here in the US in the late-80's to mid-90's and watched it all the time...didn't want to miss an episode. Was harder to find as time went on and so I viewed much more sporadically, missing too many episodes by then...too hard to relate since the characters were ( mostly ) all different with very few I've seen before, and very few originals.

I'm actually an Are You Being Served fan....mainly because of Wendy Richards. I was sadden to see her on Eastenders and see how out of shape she is. Now don't get my wrong, I like my women nice and thick but she does not need to look that bad.....
