Are they rare, or as common as seeing a Southwest 737 at Love Field?
I've come across a few mint condition ones printed in 1995(!), and just wondered if they're worth keeping, or spending, considering they are out of production.

I bet all the pimps have been taking them out of circulation. I mean, think about it... $2 dollar hoes are common. They give those bills to the pimps, and B A M , they lock them up in their vaults and we never see them again...

For some reason, they always have $2 bills when they do the book buy-back here at my university.
If I get ones that are new, I just spend them, because they're only worth $2. I like to screw around with the people at the cash register that way. Same with the new $1 coins, I just spend them.
In my opinion, they should make $1 and $2 coins for the US.
But you have to keep the $1 paper notes, because that's what we have to use to tip strippers. I'm not going to let a stripper grab a $5 note off my face with her breasts. That's not worth $5 to me. $1 sure. Probably not $2 though.

Oh yeah, Mike, the Department of the Treasury should consult the people who patronize the stripper industry before it makes any changes that might have negative monetary consequences...

Mls515,
LOL. IMO, that's a pretty damn legitimate reason to keep the $1 bill!!

Its true though. Think about it. You can't throw dollar coins on the stage (well, you COULD, but you'd probibly get thrown out...) and how hard would it be to stuff a dollar coin into a g-string? You'd see all the girls up there with change purses. Can you imagine how HARD it would be to do a good pole dance with a change purse flailing around?

About the strippers:
Here in Canada we have $1 coins and $2 coins only. Now the strippers here have started a little game for tips, they'll rest a poster of themselves on their guns and if you can hit it off by flicking a "Loonie" ($1 coin) or a "toonie" ($2 coin) it's yours. They do other stuff which at times must be painful ie: They'll stick a toonie on their bacon strip and if you knock it off you get a poster or something. Sometimes if you're a REALLY good shot and you get several successful shots consecutevly (sp?) you can win a full length porn video starring that particular stripper.

Can you imagine telling the story of how you won the poster of the stripper??? Besides, who is sober enough to hit the strippers??? Theoretically speaking only!

Well, here's how I look at it with $2.00 bills. Look at this picture, if your $2.00 looks anything like the three examples from my collection, keep it.
