Your own personal windows desktop weather station. This is a great weather program which is very accurate and best of all it is totally free. I've been using it for a few months now and can highly recommend it to all.

I have a great widget on my desktop showing the local weather, current conditions and the 5 day forcast, very easy to use and so far aint be wrong.

I'm pretty partial to WeatherBug here in the states. Weather Channel has one that is alright. Vista has one that is on my other laptop. There are a bunch out there, it just comes down to personal preference.

To be fair though, you do live in Scotland, so it's not hard to work out what the weather's going to be doing. Cold, wet and windy... Am I right?  biggrin
