Weekly, and in cash. I'm one of the longest-serving employees (33 years) in the company and, despite bribes and other inducements, the company cannot change this without our consent. And there are still a few of us left. It's a great feeling getting cash in hand, and it always makes Thursdays worthwhile. Also I never have to run the gauntlet of beggars and syringe-wielding heroin addicts at ATM queues.

I get paid weekly by direct credit to my bank account. I prefer that. I do all my banking online. I couldnt cope with monthly ...too much to budget for LOL....I would have it spent too fast. We get 13 months wages also as our Xmas bonus is an extra months wages.

Monthly on the 27th; if the 27th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, that Friday before that weekend. Double pay (13th cheque) in December and pay day is usually in the middle of the month; got paid on the 14th this month.

Quoting N1120A (Reply 13): Bi-weekly definitely isn't the norm. When I lived in the UK, I observed that wage-and-hour people were paid weekly and salaried people were paid monthly.
That was the case at one of my former jobs. The workshop staff were paid a per-hour wage & were paid weekly, while those of us who worked in the office were on a salary & were paid monthly. Pay day was a big deal back then, we'd all go out to celebrate!

Quoting Kiwiandrew (Reply 2): I did a double take at first as I thought the topic said "How often do you get laid?"
Not the only one......
I am a salaried employee and get paid on a weekly basis.
I never really did like getting paid every other week, as at time, it would seem that I would be broke with three or four days left until I got paid. For me, it's a lot easier to budget off of a weekly paycheck than a two week check.

From the cop shop: Every two weeks, on Friday, regardless of the day of the month.
From the Army: Every month on the last day of the said month unless that day falls on a weekend or a holiday at which time the payday is moved to the Friday before the weekend if it would fall on a Saturday or to the Monday following the weekend if it would fall on a Sunday, unless said Friday or Monday is a Holiday at which time the payday is moved to the following Tuesday.
Leave it to the Army to have a hundred word essay on payday . . .
