I just got the warning, too. Nothing from the tsunami warning center, yet.

It's the third or fourth of that magnitude this week along the Cascadia Subduction Zone. The second today in and by itself. Stand by Seattle and Portland?

I hope the whole CSZ doesn't end up ripping open. That could mean a 200 ft Pacific tsunami.

The only thing shaking here on the eastside of Seattle last night was the washing machine in my apartment.  Big grin

Busy afternoon out on the Juan de Fuca Plate...

It's been an active week along the west coast. There has already been three or four off the northwest coast of BC.

No matter how random things may appear, there's always a plan.

I'll be interested to hear what the seismologists have to say about all of this -- that's a large number of fairly significant jolts on the west coast within a couple of weeks. Maybe it's good news -- a few medium jolts is better than one big one. I'm halfway through Simon Winchester's book on Krakatoa right now so my paranoia level is elevated.

Never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Here's a good site- http://earthquakescanada.nrcan.gc.ca/index_e.php?tpl_region=swbc

It's a good thing I can't afford to live;
A: Anywhere near the water
B: On a mountain side
