I am planning a holiday in December time this year and I am after some helpful advice from all you good folks of A.net.

Basically I am after any recommendations of tropical destinations that anyone has visited that they recommend (Carribean, Indian Ocean etc.). There is no specific budget so anything really is possible. The only criteria is that the destination has to be:

A) Very Hot in December
B) Things to do/see
C) Nice beaches/clear sea
D) Selection of nice hotels
E) Safe

If anyone can help me out it be greatly appreciated.

- THAILAND

I enjoyed Puerto Rico. Nice beaches, great food, and the weather isn't so bad either.

Cairns in Australia is excellent although the weather in December might be a little touch and go.

Why would you want a beach vacation that's "very hot"?  Confused

It may be warm, but it isn't very hot in December.

If you lived in the UK you would know why I want very hot weather. The weather here sucks ass, almost all year.

Anyone else got any recommendations I was hoping for more a lot more feedback than I am getting.

St. Maarten in the Caribbean is great. It's usually in the mid eighties *F in December. Orient Beach is nice. But of course Maho is the best! bigthumbsup  Good selection of Hotels and plenty of things to do. Also you could take a day trip to a close by island.

Good luck !

My Vote is for Aruba.

Near perfect weather......not much to see but enough to keep everyone happy....plenty of shopping...great hotels.....and safe (Except for young blondes from Alabama)

He's from the UK so anything over 50F is very hot.  biggrin  My vote goes for Australia. Summer down there, hot, beaches, safe, and probably the most to see of any of the warm weather climates at this time of year

Doin' just fine thanks...

Hawai'i is always hot by your guys measure (I'm freezing right now though...mid 60s at night.....BRRRRR!!)

Lots too see and do (museums, hiking, volcanoes, etc.) nice hotels, great beaches.

Depending on what type of vacation you're looking for and what you're interested in, one of the islands surely fits your bill.
