I am planning a holiday in December time this year and I am after some helpful advice from all you good folks of A.net.
Basically I am after any recommendations of tropical destinations that anyone has visited that they recommend (Carribean, Indian Ocean etc.). There is no specific budget so anything really is possible. The only criteria is that the destination has to be:
A) Very Hot in December
B) Things to do/see
C) Nice beaches/clear sea
D) Selection of nice hotels
If anyone can help me out it be greatly appreciated.

St. Maarten in the Caribbean is great. It's usually in the mid eighties *F in December. Orient Beach is nice. But of course Maho is the best! Good selection of Hotels and plenty of things to do. Also you could take a day trip to a close by island.

Quoting Kmh1956 (Reply 8): Define VERY hot, please. Are we talking sun and sand hot or hell?
He's from the UK so anything over 50F is very hot. My vote goes for Australia. Summer down there, hot, beaches, safe, and probably the most to see of any of the warm weather climates at this time of year
