I made a trip to Andorra from Alicante a few years ago:
I took a bus, the departure was Friday evening and we arrived Saturday morning. For the return trip, departure was Sunday morning with the arrival Sunday evening.
It was dirt cheap and also the only way to visit Andorra without a car of your own/rental car. There are busses from Barcelona, too, with the travel time of course being significantly lower than from Alicante. I paid roughly 30 EUR for the return trip, Barcelona must be cheaper as it´s closer.
There´s not really that much to see in Andorra - it´s basically one mountain village without much special things. Skiing is said to be quite good, I can´t comment on that as I don´t ski. The main reason for most people to come there is the tax free shopping.
Oh, and if you´re into stamps (I am): both the Spanish Mail (Correos) and the French one (La Poste) have offices in Andorra, so you can send mail from Andorra with either La Poste stamps (Andorran issues, French issues or a mixture of both) or Correos stamps (Andorran issues, Spanish issues or a mixture of both). Quite interesting, at least for a philatelist.
