Ok how that works is where your internet provider is based out of . The servers may be in California even though you are in Germany.

P.S. Those things aren't accurate at all.

IP-based location services are notoriously imprecise. The movie scenes using them are laughable. It has nothing to do with your computer.
Are you running XP/Win2000? If, go Start-Run, enter CMD into the box, and when you see a black command prompt screen, type PATHPING WWW.AIRLINERS.NET and press Enter.
You'll get a list of IPs and addresses. One of the first lines will be your actual IP.
Enter your IP into https://www.iwebtool.com/reverse_ip and see it verifies the same. The proceed with your geographic location utilities.

Well maybe it's right but , I've to change something as I wanted to enter into the History Channel on Demand and it says :
You have reached the German Video on Demand website for The History Channel and The Biography Channel. Our video content is restricted and access is only allowed for audiences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We have detected that your IP Address (72.14.193.68) is outside of these permitted countries and have blocked you from accessing the websites. You can however still visit our main channel websites at www.thehistorychannel.de and www.thebiographychannel.de

It must just be devastating to you, to think that something of yours could be connected to the evil George Bush Empire / Regime Company. Best bet, is to just throw it away, and not use it.

From my own t-Com DSL connection I have no problem accessing videos on that site.
But 72.14.193.68 doesn't appear to be a german IP address... it seems to belong to the swiss subsidiary of Google. No wonder that the site won't recognize you as german!
You must have configured your system to use an external proxy or you are using a different provider directly, but apparently it's not t-Com as you think.

Does http://www.ip-adress.com/ say anything under "My proxy"? Maybe something installed itself (after downloading a software of some sort) which pipes all your requests through a proxy for some reason... or you have a proxy configured in your router (but it has to be a pretty advanced router to allow this).
