I was messing around with Lime Wire, stumbled upon a fellow named "Aphex Twin." This music is the oddest trippiest music I think I've heard.
Specifically songs like: Stone in Focus or Windowlicker--I've never heard songs like this before.
It is rather catchy, does anyone else find themselves hypnotized by this guy?

I have a few of their albums, I used to listen to them a great deal a few years ago. Back then my music tastes were very different to what they are now as I used to be very very much into the dance scene (and all of the things that go with it )
I recall listening to all kinds of stuff, from drum and base through to dark trance. I recall listening to lots of 'Crystal Method' at the same time as I was listening to Aphex Twin. I found that much of the 'chart dance' back then just didn't do it for me, it was way to chirpy, so I actively sought out much darker music. Some of the house music I would listen to was akin to the sound some massive machine might make, and rarely with vocals.
I'm glad to say that I got out of the hedonistic part of that scene, got my crap together and stopped the irresponsible behaviour in order to finish my Ph.D.
Some 5 years later, I still like dance music now, and in some respects I do miss the lifestyle, but age and responsibilities catch up on all of us I guess. I still enjoy listening to Radio 1 and catching Seb Fontaine's mixes when I can.
Anyway, you should check out one of Aphex Twin's videos where everyone in the video is the same guy, it's pretty freaky!
Also, a friend of mine went to see them live back in the mid 90's. He said that for a significant amount of time, the guy just scraped a ruler (or some other such object) against the microphone!
