At this rate the Cleveland Clinic will be in every area that send patients here to Cleveland and no reason to remain in Cleveland, OH.

Sorta like Haliburton.  wink  What about all those neighborhoods they bought up off of Euclid? Is that land still open fields or did they actually build something on it? I remember flying over Cleveland almost every day as a traffic reporter in the early 80's and thinking you could start a pretty large farm on all the open ground on the near east side between Prospect and Euclid in the 60 to 80 blocks.

The whole East side needs major help and some serious direction. That is why I live on the West side of Cleveland, OH

It has for years. Really since 1967. Last time I was over in that near east side corridor however it seems that I remember some pretty nice gated communities being built between Euclid and Rockwell? by the clinic.

I guess the building over in the ME was inevitable. The question is who is going to staff it? Part of the greatness of the Clinic is it's employees and I just don't think a lot of them would want to commute to the ME for weeks on end like oil workers.

That is an understatement. Don't go out alone after dark without plenty of ammo

I hope that the government will see that the Cleveland Clinic is only interested in profit and not helping the un- and under-insured of its local area. Then maybe TPTB will yank the tax-exempt status. Beachwood is already pursuing it for the CCF campus on Cedar.

Up, up and away!
