I woke up this morning to find an article in the newspaper about a densist who re-uses IV bags.
Well this guy took out my sisters wisdom teeth and put her to sleep, used an IV etc.
So my mom called the heatlh department, the dentist, etc. He said that it is still safe becuase the the needle enters your arm then 8 inches or so of tubing is connected to it, then a stop cock which is supposed to prevent fluids from coming back up into the IV bas and then 2 or 3 more inches of tubing well only the needle and the 8 inches or so around there is discared and the rest is reused.......... And well like anything, the stop cock could malfunction allowing blood and other bodily fluids to enter to bag and be insterted int oanother patient. So now she has to go and get tested for HIV and Hepatitas, and others things (however you spell it)
Well the IV bags only cost $2.00 so why not just buy new ones? Each bag covers 2-10 patients!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No matter the outcome of the test, file an official complaint against the doctor.
He should loose his license to practice, or at least pay a good amount in damages and penalties (emotional grief counts as damage!).

Yes for sure.. It was a nurse who turned him in, and he signed an agreement with the health department to not take his lisence away right now but they are going to probably they said. He told my mom that he has been doing this for 27 years and no one has gotten sick. But tell me this is you got AIDS would you suspect this? No one knew about this kind of practice so no you probably wouldnt, and you would just think that it was a sex partner whom you contracted it from. So 100 people could have gotten AIDS from his office and not know it yet that it was from there. Either way it is a nasty thing. It is not illegal just not reccomended and the HD said that it is not illegal becuase there was no need for they thought that no idiot would still do that.
In the 1970's it was quite common but not nowadays.
