Simply unbelievable that in this age where college recruiting is so fanatically followed that this kid could pull the wool over people's eyes for this long. What say you all? Is this some cautionary tale about the hype that follows athletes even when they're in high school or just about one kid who got caught up in his own delusions?

He claimed he was duped by a bogus recruiter, but that was also a lie. So he may be charged with falsifying a police report.

Reading the whole article really makes one feel bad for the kid. It seems he was so wrapped up in the idea of being a Division I football player that he let his fantasy control his reality.
