If I moved out of the USA, one of the only things I would miss is the television. I heard about slingbox which brings you any channel in the world but I am very confused about it. how expensive is it, how does it work and how hard is it to recieve?

I own a slingbox and love it. In it's simplest form it digitizes and compresses the video signal from your source (cable, satellite or over the air receiver) and makes it available to you over the internet by routing out through your high speed connection.
Using the viewer, you can connect to and control your source signal and watch it anywhere in the world. I've been in Hong Kong on business and watch a live feed of a Florida v. Florida State football game being broadcast on my local (Gainesville, FL) ABC affiliate. The video quality is solely a function of the internet connection - which means that if you're on high speed it's outstanding.
I use the mobile viewer to get tv on my Windows Mobile PDA while I'm traveling at airports.
It also has functionality that allows you to control the input device (i.e. change the channel on the receiver, control your TIVO or watch a video tape from your VCR). Note that it actually controls the device so if you hook it up to the TV in your bedroom and you're away from home, if you change the channel, your spouse watching the TV sees the channel change as well.
I've hooked it up to a wall outlet in a guest bedroom with no TV. I use an old VCR as the tuner and it gives me access to basic and extended cable. I could have hooked it up to any one of my TIVO devices and actually controlled the TIVO while away from home.
I originally purchased it so I could get access to CNBC at the office. The CNBC internet pass was something like $9.99 or $12.99 a month. I bough the entry level Slingbox for $99 less $20 off at Amazon. Slingbox carries with it no monthly fee.
I highly recommend it. The installation is insanely easy and it works very well. Let me know if you have any other questions.
