Hi all. In April of this year I will be making my first visit to Germany thanks to my brother. He's treating me Big grin

We'll be staying in Frankfurt as he has friends there. So, my question is this. How far are these museums from Frankfurt and what is the best way to get there? He's used to the Autobahns so they are not a problem. Any help would be much appreciated.

John (Farcry)

P.S. What's the best beer? bigthumbsup

Hi!

First of all, enjoy your trip to Frankfurt. I reckon you'll love it. Ok lets see, Sinsheim is around 70-80 miles away from Frankfurt and you can go there by car (-map)

You can go there by train as well but it is a bit more complicated as you have to change from ICE to the S-Bahn and then you to take a bus as well. Will take you around 2 hours. So you better take the car.

Anyway you should really go to the technical museum Speyer as it is great.

There is one problem with airbus. Though their products are engineering marvels they lack passion, completely.

Quoting Farcry (Thread starter):

Frankfurt to Speyer is about 100 km over motorways A5 and A67.
Frankfurt to Sinsheim is about 110 km using motorways A5, A67 and A6.
Best mode of transport is "car" although both locations can also be reached by rail.

While in Speyer, take some time to visit the city center (within walking distance from the Museum) and its historic catehdral ("Dom" in German language).

EDIT: Gosh, did it really take me more than 7 minutes to write up that reply ... ?
