Today a pizzeria in Karnei Shomrom was bombed by a Palestinian killing two Israelis.

Serious question: Do the Palestinians really think such acts will achieve peace in the region or get them their state?

I personally know it won't but I'm open to having my mind changed with effective and accurate counter argument.

Second bombed pizzeria, so much for italian food in the middle east.  Smile

How sad, I'm happy that I went into a McDonald's today and the thought of being blown up never crossed my mind, even after 9/11.

I guess the Israelis have more to worry about.

Actually, the Palestinians hope to escalate the conflict to such a high degree that the US and Europeans are forced to reengage them.

The bombings are despicable, but I can't see them getting a state without the bombings either.

Simple, the Palestinian goal of 100% control of West Bank and Gaza with a capital in East Jerusalem and full right of return for all refugees will never be realized whether they bomb or not.

This is why Arafat talks peace, but quietly encourages the "martyrs" to do their thing. He hopes Europe or Russia will come riding to the rescue.

Oh so you know EXACTLY what is on Arafat's mind??? You know what he hopes??? Of course, he might have something in his head thats not exactly clear. He doesn't outwardly promote killings of Israeli citizens, but Sharon....well...I'll just stop here, you seem to know everything anyways  Insane

Get your head out of your ass. Arafat subtly promotes terrorism, sometimes targeted at Israeli civilians, sometimes just at settlers and IDF soldiers depending on the international and media situation. He hopes to exploit internal divisions within Israeli society and this strategy is working quite well.
